Body Discovered in Nairobi’s Green Park Area

A man was discovered dead on the walkway in the Green Park area of Nairobi. Located within Uhuru Park, Green Park also serves as a bus stop for public service vehicles. Passersby reported the body on Thursday evening, noting that it appeared to have been there for several hours.

Police said the man, believed to be around 25 years old, was found lying face down on the main walkway. Initially, it was thought he was simply resting, but upon closer inspection, it became clear he had passed away hours earlier. His body showed no visible injuries.

The area was busy at the time, and while the cause of death remains unclear, police suspect the man may have had underlying health complications. An autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause. The body is currently at the City Mortuary for identification.

In Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County, a woman was found dead in her home in what is suspected to be a murder. The body of 40-year-old Linda Achieng Ajozi was discovered in a pool of blood with head injuries. Police have not yet identified a suspect or motive, and the body is being held for an autopsy.

In Meru’s Iraru River, the body of Lawrence Kimathi was found floating, following his disappearance days earlier. Police believe he was murdered before being dumped in the river. Signs of head trauma and body bruises were visible. The body has been taken to the Kanyakine sub-county hospital morgue as investigators continue their probe into the murder.
