MCG EastBridge will occupy the entire GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre. The two-stage lease is the largest signed transaction on the Polish warehouse market in the first half of 2023.
Following a record-breaking deal on the Krakow warehouse market in Q1 2023 for nearly 37,000 sqm at GLP Krakow III Logistics Centre, the company decided to expand by more than 19,000 sqm. Under the signed agreements, MCG EastBridge will occupy a total of 56,200 sqm and will be a single occupier in the development, which is being built in the Niepołomice Investment Zone near Krakow. In both cases, MCG EastBridge was represented by Axi Immo.
MCG EastBridge is a new brand in the portfolio of Maszoński Logistic, which will continue transport and logistics services provided for more than 25 years in the EU countries. The goal of the newly established company is to expand its operations to the southeast of Europe towards the Balkan Peninsula and Turkey.
Together with MCG EastBridge, we wanted to make an immediate presence in the minds of potential clients. That’s why one of the most convincing arguments we could make was to lease all the space in the currently constructed warehouse park, the new home for our new branch. We are conveying to potential customers that we are ready to offer them 100 pct of our commitment and experience in every possible process. By guaranteeing full logistics services on more than 56,000 sqm, we make it clear that they will receive professional support in every element of their business from the first days onwards.
Miroslaw Maszoński, Chairman, Maszoński Logistic
The decision to make an express expansion within GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre accompanied us almost immediately after signing the first lease agreement. Being the sole tenant of the warehouse park gives us a lot of freedom in terms of customizing unique solutions prepared for our client’s needs and planning all logistics operations. In addition, running all processes under one roof, without the need to share space, is also a guarantee of security and flexibility.
Bartosz Rojewski, Chief Operating Officer, MCG EastBridge
The lease is the largest transaction in the Kraków and Małopolska warehouse market history.
We have a dynamic business development process ahead of us. In the first stage, we are focusing on preparing the facility to serve those clients who have already secured space. Subsequent logistics services will be introduced according to the approved schedule, and in this area we do not see any threats regarding possible delays. We are also increasing our presence in new areas, such as Southern and Eastern Europe.
Łukasz Kordecki, Chief Commercial Officer, MCG EastBridge
GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre will be built in line with the BREEAM “Very Good” or higher certification requirements. Its location off the A4 highway creates adequate distribution conditions for Eastern and Western Europe. Its features will include a storage height of 12 m, reinforced flooring, additional daylight and a solar-ready rooftop. The project also includes landscaped areas and electric vehicle charging stations, and a dedicated rest area for lorry drivers.
