The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) has called for integrity and justice amid Kenya’s growing political challenges. They criticized corruption, deceit, and leaders prioritizing personal interests over public welfare.
The Bishops condemned leaders for neglecting their duties and engaging in corrupt practices. They stressed that misuse of power undermines public trust and accountability.
They highlighted unfulfilled government promises, especially in healthcare, pointing out how unpaid dues harm vulnerable communities. Truth and integrity, they said, must guide leadership.
Rising cases of abductions and killings also alarmed the Bishops. They urged the government to uphold constitutional protections for all citizens and end these atrocities.
Rejecting term-limit extensions for leaders, they called for focus on pressing issues like unemployment, healthcare, and education reforms. They urged leaders to govern with justice, humility, and selflessness.
