The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa held the sixth round of political consultations in Minsk on 13 December, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov, and the South African delegation was led by Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Alvin Botes.
The consultations covered a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, including efforts to strengthen the political dialogue, to expand trade and economic cooperation, and to flesh out the legal framework for cooperation.
Representatives of the two countries exchanged views on the developments unfolding in the region and the world.
The parties also discussed interaction within BRICS, the UN and other international organizations.
