The Balkan Fair, organized for the 11th time this year by Nilüfer Municipality, witnessed colorful scenes. Bengü, the popular name of pop music, enthused the audience with her songs in the program where the Balkan atmosphere was blown with its flavors and music.

The 11th Balkan Fair, organized by Nilüfer Municipality in cooperation with Nilüfer Municipality Culture and Art Association and Balkan Immigrants Culture and Solidarity Association (BAL-GÖÇ), started with enthusiastic participation. The two-day event is held in Görükle Immigrant Housing Market Area, where Balkan immigrant citizens predominantly live. There was also great interest in the fair from outside Nilüfer.

Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem, who visited the stands and chatted with the citizens on the first day, shared the enthusiasm of the fair. In addition to CHP and İyi Party Provincial and District Mayors and executives, Bulgarian Bursa Consulate Commercial Attaché Lyubomir Lyubenov, Rights and Freedoms Party Kırcaali Deputy Adlen Şevket, Germany Schweinfurt Deputy Mayor Ayfer Rethschulte, Ardino Mayor İzzet Şaban, Bulgarian Rights and Freedoms Party Haskovo Deputy Mümin Sali Mümin, CHP Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Candidate Mustafa Bozbey, CHP Provincial Chairman Nihat Yeşiltaş, CHP Bursa Deputy Hasan Öztürk and Orhan Sarıbal and Balgöç Chairman Prof. Dr. Emin Balkan also attended.

Making the opening speech, Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem stated that Balkan culture constitutes one of the most colorful parts of Anatolia’s rich cultural mosaic, and emphasized that their cheerful music and rich culinary culture, which is famous throughout the world, are known by everyone. Stating that this cultural richness of the Balkans always adds new colors to the cultural richness of Anatolia, Erdem noted that, as Nilüfer Municipality, they respectfully protect this cultural richness.

Reminding that they have been organizing this organization for 11 years in Görükle Immigrant Housing Area, where Balkan immigrant citizens are concentrated, Mayor Erdem said that they introduced those who do not know the Balkan culture. On the other hand, Erdem explained that they brought the fair culture that today’s youth are not accustomed to to the present day, and said, “Balkan Fair means friendship, love and the meeting point of different cultures for us. Our Balkan immigrant citizens share their culture here. In this fair, on the one hand, they witness the meeting of cultures, on the other hand, the music “We have the opportunity to enjoy entertainment and delicious Balkan tastes,” he said.

Speaking at the program, Balgöç Chairman Prof. Dr. Emin Balkan expressed his happiness in attending the event, which was held for the 11th time this year. Reminding that the 100th anniversary of our Republic is being celebrated this year, Balkan commemorated Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades and stated that the Balkan Turks have made a lot of effort and contribution since the establishment of the Republic.

Reminding that a crowded event was held here again last year, Ardino Mayor İzzet Şaban stated that there was a good excitement this year as well and thanked those who contributed. Bulgarian Rights and Freedoms Party Haskovo Deputy Mümin Sali Mümin stated that there were a few differences between last year and this year and expressed his happiness to be here on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Candidate Mustafa Bozbey thanked Nilüfer Municipality for doing their best to continue the fair they started 11 years ago. Reminding that the 100th anniversary of the Republic will be celebrated in a month, Bozbey said, “Are you ready to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic? Then we will all walk together in that beautiful event that our Nilüfer Municipality will organize on October 29. We will all be there together. Promise? We will participate in events throughout the day. We will participate in the 100th anniversary of our Republic. “We will celebrate its third anniversary with enthusiasm. Because republic means you. Republic means our future. That’s why we must protect it. We will commemorate the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his friends a thousand times more that day,” he said.

DJ Ersin Şen performed at the Balkan Fair, where many activities were held from the beginning to the end. Fitdans Show with Tülay Kahraman and Mutlu Dindar concert also added color to the program. Bengü, the popular name of pop music, took the stage in the following hours and enthused the audience with her songs. Bengü, who mainly sang her moving parts, won the appreciation of the audience with her performance.
